Staff work with students to develop Individual Pathway Plans (IPP) during their schooling. These plans help staff and students with a planned transition through school. The IPP’s incorporate the WA Curriculum as well as extra programs such as Workplace Learning, Certificate courses both at school and at Southern Regional TAFE, Bush Rangers, swimming, Community Work Crew, Containers for Change, World of Work and School Work Crew.
We offer some Year 11 and 12 students opportunities to participate in both Auspice and VETdSS courses through South Regional TAFE and ACTIV Pathways RTO (51960), as a continuation of their pathways. The BSB10120 Certificate I in Workplace Skills is run over a full day with four year 11 and 12 students participating in 2022. These students run a successful coffee Enterprise in order to embed and practice these skills.
In 2022 ASESC continue to maintain a strong relationship with Southern Regional TAFE with three students participating in VETdSS (VET in Schools) courses. Two students are participating in the Certificate II in Rural Operations and one student participating in the Certificate II in Health Support Services.
